is the cognate of ceremony, formal action. Actions consist of the triple karmas of physical, verbal, and mental at present and from the past (called new and old karma: habit and heredity). The Buddha discovered that all living beings are karma-heirs, karma-owners, karma-machines, and karma-refuged (taking refuge in good karma) for the first time in the history of living beings and provided the way to free and full function of karma, epoch making event. The concrete way of doing so is Zen, especially Za-zen, sitting Zen.
