Five aggregates

(pañca-khandha, pañca-skhandha) are the five aggregates/components of the self (originally to analyze its composing component if each is impermanent, suffering, thus independent eternal "self" or not, later to analyze all beings in the world), that is, forms (rūpa: form/color: material/physical), feeling, idea (saññā, sańjñā), formations (sańkhāra, sańskāra), and consciousness (viññāņa, vijñāņa).
